They met almost 5 years ago through a mutual friend. One fateful night, they both ended up with a big group of friends at Four Corners Bar in Chapel Hill all watching a UNC game. Brian laid eyes on her and he couldn’t help his excitement. As the story goes, Natalie was a tad uninterested due to just getting out of a relationship, but Brian pursued her as best that he could and after a few months and a whole lot of texting, they finally started dating.
Fast forward 4 years of med school, multiple jobs, and a beautiful new Bernese Mountain dog named Jed, and Brian pops the question. It was at a cabin that they had spent a romantic weekend at previously tucked somewhere in the Blue Ridge mountains. He had invited 30 of their closest friends and family to surprise her. After they went on one of their favorite hikes with their pup, he dropped on a knee and laid it on her. She said yes, but still had no idea what was waiting for her at the end of the hike. As they made their way down from the hike, Natalie opened up the door to the cabin to be greeted by so many loved ones.
Brian just recently got matched in Nashville, TN and even though they’re getting married back in the Triangle next Spring, we thought we’d have some fun in their new home for their engagement session. They both are some of the most photogenic people I’ve ever met, and they could not have been more laid back. And having grown up with Bernese Mountain dogs, I couldn’t help but fall in love with these three.
So excited for their big day next year!
